Great Question. Here’s what I recommend.

Black Bandage:

-Remove the bandage after 2 to 4 HOURS.

For the next 2-3 weeks

-Wash your tattoo once or twice a day as directed  and moisturize lightly throughout the day, making sure your hands are clean.

-No swimming or soaking.

-Avoid direct sunlight on your tattoo.

-The area will peel/flake similar to a sunburn and become itchy.

-DO NOT pick at it and DO NOT scratch it.

-Avoid tight fitting clothes around the area, and make sure your clothes and bedding are clean.

-Avoid sleeping on the tattoo to allow proper blood flow to the area.

-If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact your tattoo artist immediately.

Second Skin

Replace the bandage after 24hrs-36hrs. The second bandage can stay on for 3 to 5 DAYS*** Fluid build up is normal. This bandage is waterproof and breathable but please avoid long showers and sweaty workouts. You must also avoid sleeping on the area and direct sun exposure while it is on.
To remove, peel down slowly from top to bottom under running warm water, wash following steps 2 and 3 below.

***Please remove bandage immediately if fluid leaks out of the bandage, water gets in it in the shower or you notice irrittation or an allergic reactions in the form of redness around the edges of the bandage, all under the bandage, blisters, severe itchiness or rash.

2. Gently wash the area with lukewarm water and unscented soap, then rinse area thoroughly.

3. Pat dry with paper towel and allow to air dry for a couple minutes.

4. Apply a thin layer of non-scented body lotion. If your tattoo is still pushing out plasma after you remove the bandage, you may use a small amount of ointment such a Redemption After Care or A&D for 48hrs to prevent scabbing then switch to body lotion.

Certain amount of swelling and redness are normal. Your tattoo may also feel warm to the touch. If these symptoms persist or worsen after 48-72hrs please contact your tattoo artist or your doctor immediately for assessment.

I be at Red Baron Ink West in Manhattan, New York. Coolest spot in town!

Well, once you’re sure you are ready to book a $300 deposit will be collected from you. This deposit will go towards the final cost of your tattoo and is applied on the last session. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable. As of 2019 all bookings must be done through the studios email, I will not collect your deposit. I recommend booking your free consultation first so we can meet and discuss your idea in person.

I leave my schedule open for new people every month. If we are a fit I will gladly have you in my rotation of clients. I work 5 days a week and I will move my schedule around to accommodate anyone who’d need a specific day for their tattoo (with enough advanced notice of course.)

Time is important to us all. To tattoo artist the term time is money rings even more true. If you have an appointment set up and you do not show up that’s potentially a day of work squandered. Please give at least 48 hours notice before you have to make any scheduling changes or cancellations. Call the studio at (917)-675-7608 between 10am-6pm to notify us of the change. If you cannot reach the studio you may also reach out to me directly. Repeated cancellations or short notice reschedules will result in you not being rescheduled until you leave another $300 deposit or just being outright labeled persona non grata (look it up.)

If you got a tattoo with me that you are not happy with or that you feel didnt heal right, please email me with a picture of your tattoo and your availability so we can schedule a touch up session at no cost to you. Please note this free touch up session window will expire after 3 months from the original tattoo session.

In the long run think of what it will cost you if you end up with a low-quality tattoo you aren’t happy with. What you’ll spend on laser sessions, or the massive cover-up  to mask it. Or just living with it and absolutely hating it. I charge what I charge because I use all the skill I’ve amassed to ensure you are getting a tattoo you will be happy with and as the saying tattoos, “Good tattoos aren’t cheap, Cheap tattoos aren’t good.”

Au contraire mon ami. My client list is varied. I have tattooed heart surgeons and stock clerks. Entrepreneurs and students. A tattoo is an investment in yourself. It’s something that will be with you for the rest of your life. There are people from all walks of life who understand that and make the choice to go with quality. Which is the right choice!

Nah. Your design will be viewed on the day of the appointment. Any changes that need to be done will be done at that time. This is to avoid people taking the artwork elsewhere. It’s shady but it does happen. We will discuss your idea thouroughly during your free consultation so my art will reflect your vision as accurately as possible.

I’d rather they not, unless you’re all getting tattooed. The studio has limited seating and we can’t entertain people sitting up front for hours. If you feel you must bring someone, ask before your appointment and I’ll see if they can be accommodated.

Being melinated myself, yes. I tattoo all the shades of our wonderful human rainbow and am aware of the sensitivites and limitations present in each.

Hell yeah! The first thing drilled into my head when I was learning to tattoo was the importance of preventing cross contamination. I take the upmost care to not only provide you with the highest quality of work, but also to do so in a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. I use deposable materials for each new client. My station is disinfected and cleaned between each tattoo. The studio is deep cleaned and sanitized on a nightly basis. You could eat off the floor if you want! though I’d avoid that anyway.

Short answer is, most likely. Individual pain tolerances vary. Since I almost primarily do long session tattoos the odds of the session becoming a test of that tolerance go up. Most people endure. Some can’t. Theres no shame in tapping out. Listen to your body, we can always set up another session to complete the tattoo. If you’d like to push through I do offer some pain mitigating sprays to help but their effectiveness varies.

I started in 2011 and have been tattooing professionally since 2013. So..close to a decade.
